Service Description: Supports for people with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, and their caregivers

Support Groups - Support groups for caregivers

- Support groups for persons with dmentia Company of Good Cheer: brings caregivers, people with dementia, friends and others for dinner, support and R&R

Other services include:
  • support counselling * educational information, sharing and discussions about Alzheimer disease issues
  • educational services for public and service providers
  • presentations to community groups
  • in-service training
  • public and secondary school education program

Meeting: Monthly caregiver support groups:
  • First Thu 2 pm, Granite Ridge, Gravenhurst
  • Second Thu 10 am, Bracebridge United Church, Bracebridge
  • Third Tue 1:30 pm, Parry Sound Mall, Parry Sound
  • Fourth Thu 2 pm, Fairvern Nursing Home, Huntsville
Fees: Membership - $15/yr (optional) * None * Lending library services are free, including fact sheets
Application: By phone * no registration required for monthly caregiver support groups
