Secret Santa for Seniors

The Durham Elder Abuse Network is celebrating the holiday season with the seniors in the community (some of which are isolated and alone) by sharing some Christmas cheer during the holiday season.
Last year, with the support of many community partners, they collected and distributed over 600 gifts to seniors living in Durham Region.

Businesses, individuals and families are encouraged to sponsor a senior(s). Simply call the Durham Elder Abuse Network and let them know how many seniors you wish to sponsor. You will be provided with gift tags with the senior’s gift requests on the back!
Each ‘gift
tag’ will include a seniors request for: a personal needs item (toiletries of some kind ex: shampoo/conditioner or lotion); a comfort item (ex: pillow/blanket or pajamas or hat/gloves/scarf); and an interest item (ex: book or magazine or treats)

Arrangements will be made for either the receiving agency or a Durham Elder Abuse representative to pick up and deliver the gifts to the seniors in our community.
Financial contributions are also appreciated and will be used to fill the needs of gift requests from seniors in the community. Donations of $25 or more will receive a Charitable Tax Receipt.
