Service Description: Emergency care housing for youth who have lost their housing * 10 beds for those identifying as young men and 6 beds for those identifying as young women

Crisis care facility programs and supports include:
  • emergency care housing, food and clothing
  • support in life skills development (dress, hygiene, cooking and budgeting)
  • short-term or long-term stay: length of stay determined by person's need and rate of progress
  • long term stays require carrying out a plan (continuing education, work, or job search)
  • in-house and mobile outreach counselling services 
  • information and referral

Health Care Clinic held weekly for any youth experiencing homelessness who would like to see a doctor on a drop-in basis.

Services include:
  • full exams
  • medication dispensing and monitoring
  • advice and information about personal care
  • referrals for more complicated physical needs

Partners with Barrie Community Health Centre and Canadian Mental Heath Association to provide Youth Hub at the downtown branch of the Barrie Public Library on the second and fourth Tue of the month (except Jul-Aug) * Staff are available to answer any health and wellness questions * Activities and snacks also available
