Manmade or natural disasters and emergencies can occur with little notice and lasting consequences. Families and businesses are encouraged to understand the risks, make an emergency plan and prepare supplies. Emergency management and response is handled by several community agencies and is coordinated by County and municipal governments. See also Government Services - Municipal.
