Service Description: Non-denominational and non-political organization focusing on education, advocacy and support for women in rural and small towns in Ontario. Advocates for social, environmental and economic change.

Community involvement initiatives:
  • visiting the elderly and "shut ins" at Christmas
  • celebrating the seniors' birthday party at the Pines Senior Residence
  • supporting school programs
  • donating to projects for local hospitals and women's hostel
  • monitoring the well being of the community and expressing any concerns to local
    government
  • participating in community events such as the annual spring "roadside garbage clean up"
  • organizing and encouraging local artist's display at the small Heritage Village Hall in the Windermere Village Park
  • fundraisers including bake sales at Chatagua Arts & Cultural Festival in July or August
  • Collection of Community history which is maintained in the Windermere Area Archive
