Service Description: Non-profit, charitable organization that focuses on empowering adults with disabilities by eliminating barriers, promoting, and encouraging their citizenship, and assisting them in attaining and maintaining their own independent living goals

Programs and services includes four pillars:
  • research
  • information, Referral, and Resources for individuals through community programs, workshops and other community agencies
  • peer support for groups and individuals  
  • empowerment

Direct Funding - Self-Managed Attendant Services Program - Allows people with permanent physical disabilities to become employers of their own attendant services.

Coffee Break Newsletter - RISE creates, produces, and distributes 1000 copies of the Coffee Break Newsletter biweekly to over 40 local business in the Parry Sound area.

Button Making - for all occasions including family reunions, political parties, events, community events/fundraisers, etc.
