Service Description:
|
Non-medical home care for older adults needing additional assistance to remain independent in their own home, retirement or nursing home
Companionship/Home Help Services can include:
- friendly visiting, conversation and companionship
- shopping/errands (groceries and other essential needs)
- light housekeeping
- meal preparation and planning
- routine laundry for client
- escort to and from appointments, e.g. Doctor, Foot Care, Clinics etc.
- caregiver relief/ respite care
Personal Care Services can include:
- assistance with dressing, shower, bath, grooming, toileting, mouth care
- medication reminders
- care management
- assisting with behaviour and behaviour disorders
- implementation of a restorative care program/routine for those recovering from surgery, stroke
Staff comprised of Certified Personal Support Workers (PSWs), and staff with Restorative Care and Gerontology/Activation Certification
